As I’m wrapping up this year’s work, there a numerous cliches running through my head. “Where did the year go?” “How is it almost 2016?” “Time flies.” Cliches are cliches for a reason and it is amazing how long some days seem, but how quickly the years go by.
It’s been 18 months since I left the west coast for Florida, and it’s finally starting to feel like home. In fact, rumor has it that they are trying to ditch day-light savings time. If that happens, I might never leave. The blue-green temperate ocean waters are a welcomed change from the Pacific. Though I miss those thunderous waves…but I digress.
Closing out a year always makes me slow down and appreciate everything this year has encompassed and list out what I can improve on for next year. There’s plenty of things I want to fine tune and a few to I want to blatantly change, but I am full of gratitude to all the companies that have seen the value in my artistry, for all the individuals I’ve built my business/portfolio with, and all the friends I’ve made along the way. Here’s to finishing out 2015 strong and laying a great foundation for 2016.
